The pure tone you seek does not have to come at the expense of emptying your wallet. Results and video bellow.Product Description Planet Waves Classic Series Guitar and Instrument Cables All the tone you can handle at a price you can afford Just wow stuff costing 5 to 6 times more is just garbage apparantly. Leading the market making the best products they can at affordable prices to average consumers not justnin America but the world over.Ĭongrats to MXR and an applause to American ingenuity. Mooer and Rockboard are Made in China I believe and while I dont really care given the small quality difference I will buy an American product and support the American company as I feel this is an amazing job in quality and value on their behalf and an example of what American companies should be doing. Probably going to go MXR on my guitar cables as they are MIA and as parka said at these miniscule levels of 3-5 pf differences at such low pf capacitance it hardly matters and will go MXR out of them just being good over the years and making great products.

Given this info will go full MXR or go Rockboard. Also on top Rockboard cables.super affordable too.its a 5 inch so I feel it got an advantage because of one inch less. The only expensive one at the top 4 is Klotz in second place but for the price Mooer and MXR are practically as good for way way lower price.

MXR are indeed pretty damn good quality and way better than Dimarzio or Mogami.Īnd other "cheap cables" are even better than stuff costing 3 or 4 times as much. But MXR did come out on top and scored low just as the dude at TDPRI mesured but lower from this guys test on a 6 inch.įound this interesting info. I mean its rugged but given this revelation need to give these others a try and get a "better" cable without droping huge $$$. Planet waves scored higher than Dimarzio and I claimed it was a better cable. Kind of proves a point that you dont need to spend cash to get good quality. Wow to all the Mogami guys and even me a Dimarzio guy I just made a huge revelation regarding these (scroll to bottom for test results and video). The price for Mogami Platinum just for one are 40-50 bucks.I mean given the price differece and that MXR are better specwise all I ma saying its best to go for lowest capacitance and given the price why not get MXR vs other options that cost the same or more expensive in some cases given that they are lower Capacitance and "better" in that sense for ones or anyones signal. The price for MXR patch cables are 12.99 for a 3 pack Same as others.

Going from Planet waves and strukture that are higher capacitance and to these higher quality patch cables with lower capacitance there is a difference in favor of the MXR.Īlso again going fron Livewire or Monster to Dimarzio was a huge improvement. May not be the lowest super lowest capacitance, but given the quality and value vs others costing the same such as Livewire, Planet Waves, Strukture, Mogami Platinum.I dont feel a need to drop the cash on any better. Dimarzio for guitar and amp cable and MXR for patch cables on board. This is why I feel these are great options given the market and price.

Generally speaking many guitar players agree lower Capacitance is a good thing.so why not go for that given the affordability and quality vs going for higher capacitance at the same price or costing higher. Click to expand. Not sure what his advice was but all I am saying is if Im going for cables or patch cables in general the lower the capacitance the better to a reasonable degree.
